Byron Bay’s hinterland has the highest rainfall in the state. It rains a lot at night with days of azure skies and fluffy white clouds dropping occasional showers and making rainbows. Sometimes it can get a bit out of hand and rain for days on end. You can still go for a swim anyway and warm up later with a hot coffee.

While at the Circus School try some real interactive indoor stuff including flying trapeze, silks, stilts and shows. Book ahead for lessons or just drop in. Enjoy the show or get involved. There is also Kid’s World (Map 2 ref J15)

Amazing crystals at Crystal Castle and Kids Zoo at Macadamia Castle, great places to visit. Have a look on pages 55-57 for more kids stuff - buy some games. After all of that walking around have a check out page 78 and choose a way to really relax and listen to the rain.
